2021 Chevy Malibu

There are many reasons to think about buying a 2021 Chevy Malibu. For one thing, it comes with many standard tech features, such as wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. It also has a big cabin with lots of room for up to five people, along with loads of cargo space.

But how does it perform? This guide will let you know what to expect.

Powertrain

While no muscle machine, the base Chevy Malibu does come with a potent turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

The other engine option is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that generates 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is standard, but the Premier trim comes with a nine-speed automatic.

Drivetrain

The Chevy Malibu is an agile sedan that comes standard with front-wheel drive. It offers very good handling, and you’ll especially notice this if you take some sharp turns. The Chevy Malibu also has an excellent suspension system that makes pretty much any ride a smooth one.

Fuel Economy

Do you really dislike having to disrupt an excursion to stop at a gas station? If so, you will love the fuel economy in the Chevy Malibu: 29 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.

These are fantastic numbers for its class. If you go with the bigger engine, they drop to 22 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.

To really see how the new Chevy Malibu performs, you have to take it out on the road, and you can do that at Andy Mohr Chevrolet in Plainfield. Schedule your test-drive today.
