crew cab

What is a crew cab and how is it different from a regular cab? This is a common question people have when looking for a pickup truck. If you’re shopping for a truck and need more information about the different cabs available, this guide will help:

Regular Cab

If you don’t need to fit many people in your truck, a regular cab may be the best choice. It has one row that seats up to three people.

What it lacks in passenger space, however, it makes up for in bed length. The regular cab with the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500, for example, comes with the longest bed, measuring in at eight feet, two inches.

Double Cab

If a three-person truck won’t cut it, you can instead opt for the double cab. This comes with two rows and can fit up to six people. This cab comes with a six-foot-seven-inch bed with the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500.

Crew Cab

For the most interior space, you will want to go with the crew cab. It also can accommodate up to six people, but it offers more head- and legroom than the double cab, especially in the second row.

The 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab comes with a six-foot-seven-inch bed, but a five-foot-10-inch bed is available.
