Chevrolet Service

How can you help ensure that your Chevy keeps performing well for many years? It’s simple: You need to take good care of it, and this means giving it proper – and timely – service. So, what does this need to involve?

Our Chevrolet service department offers this checklist that covers the key areas drivers needs to focus on:

Oil Changes

Why is clean oil so important? Because it lubricates the moving parts in the engine. When oil becomes old, in addition to getting thick and sludgy, it also gets dirty. This means that dirt and debris get into the oil, and engine performance suffers as a result.

Fluid Top-Offs

Oil isn’t the only fluid in your car you need to pay attention to. You may not realize it, but there are several others, including power steering fluid, brake fluid, and transmission fluid. Coolant is another vital one, as is anti-freeze, especially during the cold months.

Tire Rotations

Your back tires and front tires don’t wear the same way when you drive. This is why they need to be rotated regularly. Doing this will give them a long lifespan and at the same time give you optimal tire performance.

Filter Cleaning and/or Replacement

To keep things clean both for your car and you, there are many filters in your vehicle. In addition to oil and engine filters, there is one in the cabin. Over time, they get dirty and need regular cleaning. When they get so dirty, they will have to be swapped out for new ones.
